Night Skincare

Skintype: Combination acne prone skin

This is the most important part of skincare. The skin is exposed to dust, dirt, sweat, pollution, etc. The face needs to be cleanse or your skin will be clogged and more prone to acne, blackheads, and whiteheads. With my acne prone skin, I must wash my face thoroughly from traces of skincare, makeup, and dirt. If I have makeup on, I normally cleanse twice to make sure it's fully off. I find this way to keep my skin clear of acne. I like to layer on several products at night so by the morning my skin is moisturized and I don't need to layer as much product.

Makeup Removers:

Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes

These facial towelettes are gentle and lightly scented. I love bringing this with me when I travel.

Desert Essence Jojoba Oil(best for removing eye makeup and waterproof mascara)

Josie Maran Oil Cleanser: I like to use this in the shower as a precleanse to remove all my makeup before I use a regular face wash. I enjoy using this by itself when I don't have makeup on because it doesn't feel oily after rinsing and it makes my skin feel moisturized.

Cleanse and Tools:
Laneige multi cleanse foam
Yes to Carrots cream cleanser
African black soap (this really deep cleanses) I only use this at night because it can get a bit drying to my skin.
Oil Cleansing Method (jojoba or coconut oil)
Clarisonic Mia Skin Cleansing System

Tone:

Thayer's alcohol free witch hazel. My favorite one is the rose or cucumber one.

Moisturize:
H2O Plus Oasis 24 Hydrating Booster
Juice Beauty Antioxidant Serum
H2O Plus Oasis Hydrating Treatment

Treat:
H2O Plus Sea Results Overnight Perfecting Peel - gentle glycolic and salicylic acid serum for my acne prone areas.
Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum

Weekly treatments:
Aztec Secret - Indian Healing Clay or Rainbow Research French Green Clay Powder. I started getting this from Whole Foods and it's better than any brand name mask I ever used. It's just pure clay powder and all you need is a liquid to mix it with. I use organic milk and egg whites to mix it and I can feel my face really soft and cleansed afterwards. Clay powder normally has a long shelf life so you don't have to worry much about it being expired.
I'm trying to stop using drugstore or expensive name brand mask because I find quite a few that I brought with parabens in it. Using clay is 100% all natural and cheaper. You know what kind of ingredients you are putting into it. I thought Queen Helene mask was my new love but it got parabens :( so I don't care how people rave about that stuff or how I actually like using it. Get some natural clay powder they have a long shelf life. It's a great diy spa treatment at home. I can easily find them at Whole Foods.
I LOVE my PAPER MASK that I get when I go to Hong Kong, but some of those things have parabens too. I wish it didn't because I save those and use them as special treatments and to help me relax. It makes my face very moisturized and plump. I even use the left over serum when I remove it on my neck and my hands.
Make your own natural mask with yogurt, honey, green tea, etc. etc.
Steam my face to clean out all the gunk and toxins out. This really helps with my acne, blackheads, and whiteheads.

Hair:

Coconut oil hair treatment makes my hair shine and it's easy to clean after 2-3 washes. It makes my hair look healthy and glowing.

Body:
Jason Hand & Body Lotion Cocoa ButterVery lightweight.
ALBA BOTANICA Hawaiian Cocoa Butter Hand & Body LotionThis one smells stronger and more chocolatey
Out of Africa Shea Butter - Natural raw shea butter for the whole body
Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Lotion - super thick and moisturizing. It's like a body butter.
I used to use Victoria's Secret body lotions but I realized they have parabens.
Shea Moisture has really good body lotions that has a very creamy and thick texture to it. This brand is free of many different chemicals, preservatives, parabens, etc. I don't think the brand is raved enough. Honestly, they have very good products for adults and moisturizers for babies.
