Philosophy to skincare:
I believe that we should follow natural ways to maintaining our skin. DO follow a skin care routine that works for you. Many natural oils, butters, and extracts contains potent skin benefits. I LOVE using Shea butter on my skin and face which many Africans have used for ages. I fell in LOVE with the benefits and effectiveness of raw unrefined Shea butter. Simple ingredients in it's natural form is the best thing for our skin. I'm pretty open minded to trying different products and methods of skin care. Not all Asians have beautiful skin. I certainly don't have nice skin since puberty and I'm constantly finding new ways to keep my skin clear. Asians do follow intensive multi-step skincare routines which I don't follow well enough. Everyone experiments their own skin care techniques and routines through trial and error. Relax more and stress less. That's the best skin replenisher and anti-ager. Your skin is very delicate so treat it nicely and don't throw too much different chemicals and ingredients on it. Stick with products that have a short list of ingredients or pick natural products.

My point of view:
I like to be aware of products that I use these days because my skin started to be really sensitive over the past few years. That's when I started looking at the causes and started to look into natural and organic products. I try to eliminate the number of products I use and buy things that are multi-purpose. That way you don't need so many things. It saves money and help the environment.

I try to research whenever possible what certain ingredients mean and the harms and benefits. Please read your ingredient labels, most the time it contains cancer causing ingredients or chemicals that we don't know. Natural and organic doesn't always mean that the company will leave out harmful ingredients and preservatives. It might just mean that there are a few natural ingredients. Sometimes it's listed to attract people, thinking it's safer and better for the skin, but it have parabens or harmful ingredients that can cause skin issues. Expensive high end brands usually show the good ingredients and how it can help you look beautiful, it lures you into spending that big investment into their brand, but in fact it also have skin irritating ingredients. I'll try to list and highlight the well known ingredients that are cancer causing or skin irritating to us on this blog. I might not be able to identify all of them, but well known ones are parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum, talc, etc.
